Argos falls to LaCrosse in sectional quarterfinals

The Argos baseball team lost to LaCrosse 11-3 in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 quarterfinal at LaCrosse Thursday night.

Argos finished the season 1-16. LaCrosse improved to 11-14-1.

Argos has not won a baseball sectional title since 1998.

LaCrosse will play South Central (Union Mills) in the semifinals at 10 a.m. Eastern Saturday. South Central handled Culver 18-4 in five innings in a quarterfinal on Wednesday.

South Central has won a sectional the last four times it has been contested.
