Morris, Stults power Argos to 3rd place in Hoosier Plains

Argos 54, Elkhart Christian 41 (Friday): J.J. Morris scored eight of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter in his final game at Phil Weybright Gymnasium, and sophomore center Luke Stults added 17 for the Dragons in a Hoosier Plains home win over Elkhart Christian Friday.

Sean Richard added eight points, and Nate Manikowski had seven.

Argos led 24-20 at halftime and extended that lead to 37-28 after three quarters.

Aiden Hibbard scored 24 points, and Lance Smith added 13 for Elkhart Christian.

Argos finished the regular season 14-7 overall and 3-2 and in third place in the Hoosier Plains. Bethany Christian and Lakeland Christian, both of whom went 4-1, shared the conference title.

Elkhart Christian fell to 7-15, 2-3.
