Rodgers scores 25 in debut, leads Culver past West Central

J. McCuen, Guasp also score in double figures for Cavs

Culver 63, West Central 50 (Tuesday): Jack Rodgers scored 25 points in his Culver debut to lead the Cavaliers past host West Central Tuesday.

Jonas McCuen added 13 points, and Adria Guasp had 10 for Culver, who improved to 1-1. David Hite added six, Caleb McCuen had four, Logan Caudill had three, and Ethan Binion had two.

Conner Schleman led West Central (0-1) with 23 points. Bryce Nannenga added 14, and Connor Marlatt had 10.

Culver led 28-27 at halftime and extended the lead to 46-40 after three quarters.

Culver coach Kyle Evans was the West Central coach in 2014-15. The game marked the coaching debut for West Central’s Brad Odom.

The Trojans host Argos on Friday.
