Stinson, Schanlaub reach double figures, but Caston loses conference opener to Knox

Boys basketball

Knox 53, Caston 47 (Dec. 16): Caleb Stinson scored 15 points, and Cain Schanlaub added 11, but the host Caston boys basketball team dropped their Hoosier North opener to Knox on Dec. 16.

Colby Pugh and Talon Zeider each hit a pair of 3-pointers and had nine and six points, respectively.

Caston outscored Knox 16-7 in the second quarter to take a 23-22 halftime lead, but Knox came back to take a 36-33 lead after three quarters.

Owen Binkley scored seven of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter for Knox (2-3, 1-1 Hoosier North).
