Valley takes 9th, Rochester 10th at Plymouth JV Invite

Boys golf

The Tippecanoe Valley JV boys golf team shot a 388 and finished ninth out of 16 teams at the Plymouth JV Invitational at Pretty Lake Golf Club Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rochester shot a 394 and finished 11th.

Kyzer Hughes shot a 93 to lead Valley. Noah Mellott added a 94, Kolton Seaney had a 100, Thad Shambaugh had a 101, and Evan Bolinger had a 104.

Rochester’s low scorer was Enrique Navarro with a 91. Brady Morgan had a 93, Jack Reffett had a 94, Brevin Nicholson had a 116, and Parker Brown had a 122.

Northridge shot a 337 and won by 17 strokes over runner-up NorthWood. Northridge’s Alex Thompson beat Valparaiso’s Will Nowaruta in a playoff for medalist honors after each shot an 80 during regulation play.
