Triton (1-1, 0-1 Hoosier North) at Caston (0-2, 0-1), 7 p.m.

Both Triton and Caston lost in games that saw a running clock last week.

Triton stayed within 21-14 against Class 2A, No. 12 LaVille at halftime before falling 56-14.

Caston, meanwhile, fell behind 33-0 after one quarter against Class 1A, No. 4 North Judson and went on to lose 52-8.

Defensively, Caston will try to stop Triton fullback Anthony Schuh, who rushed for 152 yards against the stout LaVille defense and who has 10 games of 100 or more rushing yards in his career. He has 371 yards and five touchdowns in two games so far this year.

Meanwhile, Triton quarterback Cole Shively will look for receivers like Evan Briles and Amary Snyder.

Offensively, Caston will look to improve on a running game averaging under 20 yards rushing per game. Triton gave up over 200 yards rushing against LaVille last week.

Grant Yadon caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Gavin Mollenkopf last week. It was Mollenkopf’s first career touchdown pass and Yadon first career touchdown reception.

Triton has won the last seven meetings in the series.
