Pioneer 70, Wabash 60 (Nov. 22): Ashlynn Brooke scored 19 of her game-high 28 points
in the second half to lead the host Lady Panthers past sectional rival Wabash on Nov. 22.
Brooke, who made three 3-pointers, was one of three Pioneer (5-0) players in double figures. Kylie Attinger added 15 points, and Paula Collado Fernandez came off the bench to score 12.
Attinger and Collado Fernandez combined to score 16 of Pioneer’s 26 points in the second quarter as they built a 36-30 halftime lead. The lead was 55-49 after three quarters.
This was the teams’ first meeting since Pioneer’s 51-34 win in the 2022 sectional.
Kaitlynn Honeycutt and Elizabeth Mattern had 15 points each for Wabash. Rylee Yoakum had 12.
The 60 points were the most points Wabash has scored in a loss since a 63-60 overtime loss to Oak Hill on Dec. 15, 2015.
