Brooke scores 24, Cripe adds 15 in Pioneer win over Frontier

Pioneer 69, Frontier 27 (Thursday): Olivia Brooke scored 24 points, and Hailey Cripe hit three 3-pointers and added 15 for Class 1A, No. 8 Pioneer in a home win over sectional rival Frontier Thursday.
Mackenzie Walker added nine points, and Crystabelle Blickenstaff added eight for the Lady Panthers (9-3), who extended their winning streak to six.

Pioneer led 39-8 at halftime and extended the lead to 59-16 after three quarters.

Brooke nominated for player of week: Pioneer senior forward Olivia Brooke was nominated for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Franciscan Health player of the week award for District 1 girls for the week of Dec. 28.
Brooke scored a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 66-34 win over Rochester on Dec. 30. She added 13 points and 12 rebounds in a 64-29 win over Logansport on Jan. 2.
The award went to Hammond Noll senior Courtney Blakely.
