Coleman expected to be named Rochester softball coach

Jim Coleman will be hired as the new softball coach at Rochester, pending approval at a school board meeting Tuesday.

Coleman would replace Becky Lee, who stepped down after two seasons. Rochester is coming off a 10-11 season (3-6 Three Rivers Conference) in 2022. The season ended with a 4-2 loss to Whitko in the sectional semifinals.

Coleman has no high school head coaching experience, but he has previous travel ball coaching experience. He is the father of Lady Z senior third baseman Kylie Coleman.
