high 22 points, and fellow senior Tayde Kiser added 18 for the Vikings in a win over Hanover Central in the fifth-place game at the LaPorte tournament on Dec. 30.

Riley Shepherd added eight points, all in the first quarter.

Valley led 26-25 at halftime and extended the lead to 40-34 after three quarters.

Chase Kuzma had 14 points for Hanover Central (6-4).

Lake Central went on to win the eight-team tournament with a 65-58 win over LaPorte.
