Gerald wins 105 class at Lebanon Invite

Rochester scored 120.5 points and placed eighth out of 55 teams with 120.5 points at the Lebanon Invitational Saturday.
Lilly Gerald won all three of her matches by fall to take the title at 105, finishing her day with a fall in 1:31 over Greenfield-Central’s Asia Bowen.
Other Rochester placers included Grace Hiroms, who was second in the 170A class; Laine Peppler, who was third at 145; Lakodah Clavenger, who was fourth at 130A; Kyra Doran, who was fifth at 125; Makenna McKee, who was fifth at 125A; and Rilyn Strasser, who was seventh at 115.
Penn won with 361 points. Rochester’s enrollment is smaller than all seven teams that finished ahead of them.
Current IndianaMat.com rankings have Gerald No. 3 at 100 pounds and Hiroms No. 5 at 155 pounds. Peppler is ranked in the top 20 at both 140 and 145 pounds.
Rochester travels to John Glenn at 7 p.m. tonight for the first ever girls dual meet in school history.
