Tippecanoe Valley 18, Northfield 10
Alex Craft had touchdown runs of 4 and 22 yards in the first quarter, and Jamasyn Virgil ran for 100 yards and caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Branson McBrier for the visiting Vikings in a win over Northfield Friday.
Craft ran for 146 yards on 18 carries. Virgil added his 100 yards on six carries. Rex Kirchenstien had a 25-yard reception. McBrier threw for 46 yards. His scoring toss to Virgil came on a fourth-down play and was the first of his varsity career.
Valley outrushed the Norsemen 268-160 and committed no turnovers or penalties.
Valley (1-1, 1-0 Three Rivers Conference) beat Northfield for the second straight year and for the first time at Wilbur Dawes Field since 2013.
Northfield fell to 0-2, 0-1.

Sam Smith ran for 141 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a two-point conversion, but Class 1A, No. 10 North Judson handed the host Comets their first loss Friday.
Grant Hickle ran for 19 yards.
Landon Shafer and Hickle were a combined 0 for 6 passing.
Smith and Hickle had 10 tackles each to lead the defense. Damian Sullivan had five tackles and a pass defended. He also blocked an extra point.
Caydin Webb had three tackles and two sacks.

South Central (Union Mills) 28, Culver 24
Shane Shuman ran for 167 yards and a touchdown, and Jalen King ran for 141 yards and two scores, but the host Cavaliers lost to sectional rival South Central Friday.
Blake Thompson also ran for 73 yards and two two-point conversions for Culver, who had 384 yards rushing and a 25-7 advantage in first downs.
Culver converted 10 of 15 third downs and committed no turnovers.
South Central’s only touchdown in the second half came on a kickoff return.
