Boys basketball
Triton 63, Pioneer 31 (Dec. 9): Drew McKaig scored 13 points, and Brayden Erickson added 10, but the Pioneer boys basketball team lost their Hoosier North opener to visiting Triton on Dec. 9.
Caleb Sweet contributed seven points and a team-high six rebounds.
Cole Shively scored a game-high 17 points for Triton.
Triton had a 35-20 rebounding advantage and also forced 27 turnovers.
Triton led 36-13 at halftime.
Pioneer lost to Triton for the third straight year.
