Mersch tosses 4-hitter, Middleton drives in 3 in Caston rout of N. White

Caston 11, North White 0 (5 innings, Monday): Jordyn Middleton doubled and drove in three runs, and Hadlie Coffing had two hits, Myli Rude and Natalie Warner had two hits each for host Caston in a win over sectional rival North White Monday.

Coffing had two RBIs, and Rude, Warner, Mia Mersch, Ava Russell and Abigail Apperson had one RBI each.

Kylee Logan had a double, and Audrey Ault, Emily Rodas, Ava Russell and Abigail Apperson each had a hit.

Mersch needed only 57 pitches to toss a four-hitter with one walk and three strikeouts.

Caston scored six runs in the first and added four more in the second.

Caston is 6-3.
