Oregon-Davis’ Danford fires no-hitter in win over Argos

Oregon-Davis 12, Argos 0 (5 innings, Tuesday): Oregon-Davis’ Conner Danford pitched a no-hitter with three walks and 13 strikeouts in a win over host Argos Tuesday.

Danford also had two singles and four RBIs at the plate. Brady Danford had three hits and three RBIs.

Oregon-Davis had 10 hits, drew six walks and stole 13 bases.

Dominic Burns had a walk and stolen base for the Dragons. Jackson Kindig and Nate Manikowski also walked.

Kyle Bradley started and pitched 2 ⅓ innings and allowed seven hits and 11 runs (10 earned). He walked three and struck out eight. Noah Van Duyne allowed one hit and no earned runs over the final 2 ⅔ innings. He walked three and struck out six.

Oregon-Davis had back-to-back five-run innings in the second and third.

The teams could meet again in Class 1A, Sectional 50, which Tri-Township will host from May 24-29.
