Ortiz scores 10, but Culver falls to Hebron in OT in 3rd-place game

Hebron 41, Culver 33 (OT, Dec. 29): Emiliano Ortiz scored 10 points, but Culver fell in overtime to Hebron in the third-place game at the Hebron Holiday Invitational on Dec. 29.

Shane Shuman added eight, Joey Pizur had five, David Hite had four, and Oliver Morgan, Ethan Binion and Ethan Keller had two points each.

Hebron led 18-13 at halftime before Culver trimmed the advantage to 22-21 after three quarters.

The game was tied 29-29 after regulation before Hebron outscored Culver 12-4 in the overtime.

Both teams are 5-4.

Culver had lost to South Bend Career Academy 56-46 in the first round on Dec. 28.
