Perkins scores 17, but Vikings fall to 0-6 in TRC

Boys basketball

Manchester 70, Tippecanoe Valley 45 (Friday): Dawson Perkins led Valley with 17 points and six rebounds in a road Three Rivers Conference loss to Manchester Friday.

Chase Miller hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight. Brendyn Stump added seven.

Valley fell to 2-11 overall and 0-6 in the TRC.

Weston Hamby scored 20, Max Carter had 19, and Maddox Zolman had 13 for the Squires.

Manchester led 34-24 at halftime.

Manchester had a 39-26 rebounding advantage and an 11-0 advantage in second chance points. Manchester also made 15 of their 16 free throws.

Valley lost to Manchester for the seventh straight year.

In the JV game, Valley prevailed 46-37 behind Cooper Walls’ 12 points and six assists. Damion Kohler also had 12 points, and Landon Walters had eight.
