Guffey, Sterrett, Baker eliminated in ticket round

Eli Guffey, Branton Sterrett and Colton Baker lost in the ticket round, ending the Pioneer wrestling team’s season at the Logansport regional Saturday.
Guffey (144) lost by fall in 2:42 to Harrison (West Lafayette)’s Nolan Richards. Sterrett (150) lost by fall in 1:15 to undefeated Attica wrestler Boden Rice. Baker (215) lost by fall to undefeated McCutcheon wrestler Cole Chicoine in 1:09.
Harrison (West Lafayette) won the regional with 173 points. It’s their 14th regional title in school history and their 10th in the last 12 years.
McCutcheon was second with 149.5. Rensselaer, who was bidding for their third straight regional crown, finished fifth with 85 points.
