Renie to become new Rochester AD, pending board approval

Kevin Renie will be hired as the new athletic director at Rochester, pending board approval at its Aug. 16 meeting.

RTC learned that Renie’s name will be submitted to the board.

Renie is a former RHS assistant swimming and golf coach. His son Reece, a 2021 RHS grad, was the Logansport golf sectional medalist and a member of the Zebra boys basketball team that won conference and sectional titles.

Renie will replace Ryan Johnson, who resigned July 22.

If approved by the board, Renie will be the fourth Rochester athletic director since 2011.
