Rochester girls tennis beats North Judson, gives Paulik first win

Rochester 4, North Judson 1 (Thursday): Rily Holloway and Rylee Clevenger won in straight sets at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, and the doubles teams of Olivia Bailey and Audrey Bolinger at No. 1 and Taylor Howard and Elizabeth Weaver at No. 2 also won in straight sets for the host Rochester girls tennis team in a season-opening win over sectional rival North Judson Thursday.
Holloway won 6-1, 6-4, and Clevenger won 6-1, 6-4. Both were full-time doubles players last year.
Bailey, Bolinger, Howard and Weaver were all playing in their first varsity matches. Bailey and Bolinger won 6-3, 6-1, and Howard and Weaver won 6-3, 6-2.
Ella McCarter lost in straight sets at No. 1 singles.
The win came in the coaching debut for Adrian Paulik, a 2013 Rochester grad.
Rochester also won the JV match 2-0.
