Argos 69, Trinity Greenlawn 22 (Saturday): Samnatha Redinger broke her six-day-old school record by scoring 50 points as visiting Argos beat Trinity Greenlawn to improve to 2-0 in Hoosier Plains play Friday.
Redinger hit nine 3-pointers and made all three of her free throws. She scored 37 points in the first half – 19 in the first quarter and 18 in the second quarter – as Argos built a 47-11 halftime lead.
Morgyn Barcus added seven points and 11 assists.
The teams could meet again in Class 1A, Sectional 50, which Culver will host from Jan. 30-Feb. 3.
Redinger had the previous record when she scored 47 points in a 67-31 win over Elkhart Christian on Nov. 11. She has scored 30 or more points five times in six games this season.
Argos improved to 2-4 overall and 2-0 in the Hoosier Plains going into their Bell game showdown with Culver at home on Tuesday.
