AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley senior Carlee Snyder signed with Olivet Nazarene to continue her academic and basketball careers Friday.

Olivet Nazarene coach Lauren Glenn spoke in a brief ceremony at the Viking Room before Snyder officially signed. Olivet Nazarene’s nickname is the Tigers, and Glenn said Snyder exhibited the “Tigerball” characteristics she wants in her players.

She also called Snyder “a great person.”

“The community and the culture there are just really great,” Snyder said. “The coaches and the girls were all from the start just great people. Everyone really just pushed me towards God too. It’s very spiritual and just a great place to be.”

Snyder called the recruiting process “fun” and said she discovered what she wanted and what she did not want in a school.

She called Glenn “very sweet.”

“She just wants the best for everyone,” Snyder said. “She really just stood out to me. You can just always count on her to be there. The girls just told me how great a person she is. I’ve seen her coach, and I love her coaching style. … I’d say she’s very to-the-point, but she’s going to definitely push you to be your best but in a good way. She’s going to make you better by also helping you anyway you can.”

Snyder plays for Always 100 Red 2025 travel team.

Olivet Nazarene is an NAIA school located in Bourbonnais, Ill.

“It’s a small town but a big town,” Snyder said. “Everyone there knows everyone, but it’s also big enough to where you can go do great things.”
