Valley falls to Northwestern in sectional, finishes 3-11

Boys soccer

Northwestern 7, Tippecanoe Valley 1 (Tuesday): Gavin Morrow had a hat trick, and Cameron Markley scored twice for the Northwestern boys soccer team in a win over Tippecanoe Valley in a Class 2A, Sectional 22 quarterfinal at Maconaquah Tuesday.

Ty Kidwell and Renato Vieira also scored for the Tigers, who improved to 9-6-1.

Valley was held to two shots on goal. Lucas Stafford had one save for Northwestern.

Valley finished 3-11 under first-year coach Eric Ocock.

Valley has never won a boys soccer sectional title.

Northwestern is a two-time defending sectional champion.
