Valley girls golf drops home opener to Northfield

Northfield 203, Tippecanoe Valley 249 (Thursday): Makynna Rentschler and Lucy Hayden each shot a 61 for the Valley girls golf team in a loss to Northfield in their home opener on the back nine at Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek Thursday.

Maddie Thompson added a 62, Jenna Prater had a 65, and Taylor Long had a 68.

Rentschler’s round included a par on the par-3 16th hole.

Northfield’s Hannah Wilson was the medalist with a 39.
