Valley’s Alber eliminated in ticket match at Fort Wayne semistate

All three Tippecanoe Valley wrestlers did not place at the Fort Wayne semistate at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Saturday.
Valley scored two points and finished in a tie for 41st place. Delta won the team title with 115 points. Rochester, who won the 2022 and 2023 team titles at Fort Wayne, was shipped to the East Chicago semistate.
Valley, meanwhile, was moved from East Chicago to Fort Wayne.
Senior Dalton Alber (215) accounted for Valley’s points with a 9-3 decision over East Noble’s Dylan Krehl in the first round. Alber then lost his ticket match by fall in 16 seconds to Fort Wayne Northrop senior Julante Hinton.
Alber finished his senior season 31-8. He finished second to Manchester’s Preston Duffy at both the sectional and the regional.
Both Colton Crabb (165) and Kolten Sisk (HWT) lost in the first round.
Crabb lost by fall in 1:51 to fellow junior Chance McCullough of Elkhart to finish 28-14.
Sisk, a sophomore, lost to Northridge junior Brody Streeter 1-0 to finish 21-10.
