Valley shuts out Rochester again, advances to sectional semis

Tippecanoe Valley 2, Rochester 0 (Tuesday): Valley scored twice in the second half to break a scoreless tie and beat Rochester in a Class 2A, Sectional 22 quarterfinal at Fort Wayne Concordia Tuesday.

Valley improved to 11-5-1. Rochester finished 5-11.

The Vikings will play Fort Wayne Concordia in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Fort Wayne Concordia blanked Wabash 5-0 in the first quarterfinal Wednesday.

This marks the third time in program history that Valley has won a sectional game. They also beat Maconaquah in 2018 and Wabash in 2022.

Valley also beat Rochester 2-0 in their regular season meeting on Sept. 13.
