Valley to start girls soccer program, Gordon to coach

Tippecanoe Valley announced Tuesday that it will be starting a girls soccer program.

Mark Gordon will be the team’s coach. Gordon was the first coach in Valley boys soccer history back in 2015.

Gordon is the father of Rochester girls soccer coach Chantal Rensberger. He is also an IHSAA soccer referee and assignor.

Girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in playing are asked to email Gordon at mlgordon60@gmail.com.

Valley’s first game is at Culver on Aug. 16. The IHSAA has not yet placed them in a sectional.

Gordon said in a statement that the team is still looking for games. Valley currently lists six games on their schedule.
