The Eastern Pulaski School Board hired Bryan Leverenz as the Winamac new athletic director at its Monday meeting.
Leverenz spent the previous four seasons as the boys basketball coach at Garrett. He also had previous boys basketball assistant coaching stints at Twin Lakes and Logansport high schools.
Leverenz replaces Bill Ball. Ball will stay on at the high school as a social studies teacher. Ball confirmed in an email to RTC earlier Monday that he had chosen to transfer back to the classroom from his administrative role.
Ball had been the Winamac athletic director since 2010.
Leverenz is a 2005 Twin Lakes grad.
