With courts under construction, Valley boys tennis to practice at Rochester

Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis coach Thadd Mellott told RTC Tuesday that the school’s courts are currently under renovation and that the team will not play its first home match until Sept. 9.

The team will practice at Rochester High School until the renovation is completed. Rochester will practice right after school, and Valley will then follow with their practice.

All of Valley’s matches between now and Sept. 9 will occur on the road.

Valley lost to Rochester 4-1 Tuesday. Ian Cooksey and Thad Shambaugh scored the point at No. 1 doubles.

The Rochester match was originally scheduled to be played at home but was moved to Rochester because of the renovation.

Valley is 0-3 on the season. Previous losses were to Marion and Wawasee.
