Caston girls finish 4th, boys take 6th at Valley Invite

Valley boys place 7th behind frosh Hammon

The Caston girls cross-country team scored 103 points and finished fourth out of four teams at the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational Saturday.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley and Culver had incomplete teams.

In the boys race, Caston scored 127 points and placed sixth out of seven complete teams, and Valley finished seventh with 140 points.

Argos had an incomplete team.

Plymouth won both the girls and boys team titles.

Caston’s Hannah Rogers was the fastest area runner in the girls race, finishing 13th out of 54 runners in 22:46. McKenna Lowe was the fastest Valley runner, placing 29th in 23:55.

Valley freshman Collin Hammon ran an 18:13 and finished 10th and was the fastest area runner in the boys race. Christopher Marquez was 13th.

Kane Finke took 18th in 18:37 and was the fastest Caston runner. Argos’ Emry Stackhouse was 55th in 21:16.

Plymouth’s Vivy Miller won the girls race in 20:30. Memphis Martin of Lakeland won the boys race in 16:37.
