Goodman, Hall drive in 3 runs each, Keller hammers homer as Winamac routs LaVille

Winamac 18, LaVille 0 (5 innings, Tuesday): Maggie Keller went 3 for 3 with two doubles and a homer and two RBIs, and Brooke Rausch spun a four-hit shutout with one walk and five strikeouts for No. 6 Winamac in a rout of LaVille in a Class 2A, Sectional 34 semifinal at Bremen Tuesday.

Brody Goodman had two singles and a triple and three RBIs, and Adrianna Hall had a pair of singles and three RBIs. Freshman Kylie Fisher had two singles and a double and an RBI.

Keller had two RBIs, and Brooke Rausch and Trinity Harlan had two hits and two RBIs each.

Makayla Werner had a double and an RBI, and Grace Roth also had two walks and an RBI. Corinne Ulerick had a hit and two of the Lady Warriors’ five stolen bases.

Winamac did not strike out against LaVille pitcher MaKenna Christy.

Rausch threw 62 pitches, 42 of which were strikes. LaVille never got a runner past second base.

Winamac improved to 20-3. They will play Jimtown, a 6-2 winner over Knox, in Tuesday’s other semifinal.

LaVille finished 7-19.

Jimtown (18-9) beat Winamac 7-1 in last year’s sectional semifinals.
