Bremen 52, Winamac 43 (Friday): Will Malchow tallied 18 points, and Justin Potthoff hit both Winamac 3-pointers and added 17 for the Warriors in a loss to Bremen in a Class 2A, Sectional 34 semifinal at Jimtown Friday.
Ethan Burgess added four, and Jaybin Hines and Brayden Mathias had two each.
The loss snapped a four-game winning streak. Winamac finished 15-9.
Chase Devine scored a game-high 22 for Bremen, who improved to 13-10.
Tyrus Graverson scored all eight of his points in the second half, and Riley Tener had six of his eight in the second half.
Winamac led 19-18 at halftime before Bremen took a 32-30 lead after three quarters.
Bremen hit 8 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter and 17 for 24 for the game. Winamac was 5 for 7.
Winamac has not won a sectional since 2015.
Bremen will play Jimtown, a 68-27 winner over Knox in the other semifinal, at 7:30 p.m. today in the sectional final.
This was the first meeting between Bremen and Winamac since the 1999 sectional semifinals, which Bremen won 62-61.

Winamac 54, DeMotte Christian 28 (Feb. 27): Justin Potthoff hit three 3-pointers and scored 17 points, and Ethan Burgess added 10 for the visiting Warriors in a win over DeMotte Christian in their regular season finale Feb. 27.
Jaybin Hines scored six of his seven points in the first quarter as Winamac raced out to a 17-7 lead. They increased the lead to 33-11 at halftime.
Potthoff outscored the entire DeMotte Christian team 9-3 in the third quarter as the lead reached 31.
Winamac closed the regular season on a three-game winning streak.

Winamac 32, Pioneer 22 (Feb. 21): Will Malchow and Brendan Hines tied for game-high scoring honors with nine points each, and Justin Potthoff and Ethan Burgess had six each for the Warriors in a Hoosier North home win over Pioneer Feb. 21.
Jaybin Hines added two.
Already leading 21-16, Malchow outscored the entire Pioneer team 7-6 in the fourth quarter.
Brendan Hines scored five points in the first quarter as Winamac jumped out to a 13-6 lead after one quarter.
Winamac coach Mike Springer is 2-0 against Pioneer. Winamac had lost its four previous meetings against Pioneer prior to Springer’s hiring.
Winamac finished Hoosier North play 7-1 and secured sole possession of second place. Triton won the conference with an 8-0 record.
Aidan Quillen hit two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and led Pioneer with eight.
