Stark’s 4 goals help Winamac eliminate Culver

Winamac 11, Culver 1 (Monday): Adding on to the school single-season goals record he already holds, Sean Stark scored four times as Winamac beat Culver in a Class 1A, Sectional 36 quarterfinal at Argos Monday.

Stark, who also had an assist, has 38 goals for the season and 64 for his career. He has had at least a hat trick in six consecutive games. He is second in the state in goals behind Greencastle’s Micah Foss (58).

Jaybin Hines had a goal and three assists. He now has 17 assists, adding on to his school single-season record. Rylan Craig had a goal and an assist, and Hector Gallegos, Asher Jones, Ike Kruznick and Kannon Hoover also scored.

Winamac also scored on an own-goal.

Justin Housinger contributed an assist.

Winamac led 6-1 at halftime.

Culver finished 1-15.

Winamac will face Argos in a semifinal at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Argos defeated Winamac 5-1 in their regular season meeting.

Both Argos and Winamac are 10-4-2.
