Valley draws Warsaw in Unified Flag Football tourney

The Tippecanoe Valley Unified Flag Football team will play Warsaw in the first round of the Homestead sectional Oct. 3, per the IHSAA draw Sunday.

Valley and Warsaw are part of a five-team sectional. The Valley-Warsaw winner will face Carroll (Fort Wayne) in the semifinals.

In the other half of the draw, Homestead will play New Haven in a semifinal.

All eight sectionals statewide will be played in their entirety Oct. 3.

The Homestead sectional champion feeds into the Wawasee regional Oct. 10.

Grand Park Sports Event Center in Westfield will host the state finals Oct. 17.

Valley’s furthest advancement in the state tournament came in 2018, when they finished as state runner-up.
