Girls basketball
Argos senior Samantha Redinger was named the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Franciscan Health co-Player of the Week for District 1 girls for the week of Nov. 13.
Redinger followed a 30-point effort in a loss to Mishawaka on Nov. 14 with a school-record 50 points in a 67-31 win over Trinity Greenlawn on Nov. 17.
She hit nine 3-pointers, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists and had six steals.
She shared the award with Munster’s Gracyn Gilliard.
Redinger is averaging 34.1 points per game through seven games thus far this season.
