After shutout of Lewis Cass, Pioneer moves up to No. 10

Following its 28-0 win over Lewis Cass Friday, Pioneer moved up from No. 11 to No. 10 in this week’s Class 1A USA Today media poll.

Sectional 42 rivals Carroll (Flora), Frontier and Taylor are ranked No. 4, No. 13 and No. 15, respectively. Taylor is the defending sectional champion.

Pioneer is one of three teams from the Hoosier North ranked in the top 10. North Miami is No. 8, and North Judson is No. 9.

Pioneer hosts Class 3A, No. 8 Knox at the Panther Pit at 7:30 p.m. this Friday.
