Northwestern 4, Argos 0 (Saturday): Abigail Keeney had a hat trick, and Izabella Arrick also scored for Northwestern in a road win over Argos at Eugene Snyder Field Saturday.

Argos lost despite a 16-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Northwestern led 3-0 at halftime.

“The long week of games took its toll on the Dragons with multiple injuries taking their toll throughout the game,” Argos coach Ty Adley said in a statement.

Argos (0-2-1) will host sectional rival LaVille at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The Lady Lancers, ranked No. 13 in Class 1A, are 2-0 and have outscored their first two opponents 14-0.

Argos 1, Plymouth 1 (Aug. 21): Freshman Alleigh VanDerWeele scored her first career goal on a free kick in the 60th minute as the visiting Lady Dragons earned a draw with Plymouth Aug. 21.

Plymouth scored the equalizer in the 64th minute.

“In the remaining 16 minutes, both teams found opportunities in the box, but both came up big with defensive stops and spectacular saves,” Argos coach Ty Adley said in a statement.

Adley also called the game a “down-to-the-wire thriller.”

Plymouth had a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Argos won the JV game 2-0.

Trinity Greenlawn 3, Argos 0 (Aug. 19): The Lady Dragons lost their season opener to Trinity Greenlawn Aug. 19.

Trinity Greenlawn led 2-0 at halftime.

Trinity Greenlawn had a 13-12 edge in shots on goal.

“Argos was able to solidify its back line through Avarie Hines and Leah Pizzuto, but keeper Peytyn Willis came up with several big saves, keeping the Titans to only one goal in the second half,” Argos coach Ty Adley said in a statement.
