Argos senior guard Samantha Redinger was named the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Franciscan Health Player of the Week for District 1 girls for the week of Jan. 8.
Redinger set single-game school records with 10 3-pointers and 55 points in a 79-54 senior night win over Oregon-Davis Thursday. She also had nine rebounds, two assists and six steals.
Redinger, who leads the state with her 32.0 scoring average, also won the award during the week of Nov. 13. She has recorded three of the four highest scoring games in Argos history this season.
Meanwhile, Culver senior guard Jack Rodgers won the District 1 boys Player of the Week award after scoring a career-high 39 points and adding 12 rebounds in a 78-56 win over Community Baptist on Jan. 9. He also had seven assists and four steals.
Rodgers ranks 10th in the state with his 24.0 scoring average.
