Rochester senior Olivia Bailey has verbally committed to Valparaiso University for golf, RTC learned Tuesday.
Bailey finished second among individuals at the Three Rivers Conference tournament Saturday with a 1-under-par 71 at Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek.
Bailey finished second, third, second and second in four career TRC tournaments, making the all-conference team all four years. She also led Rochester to three straight TRC team titles.
Bailey was also the sectional and regional medalist in 2024 and the regional medalist in 2023.
She qualified for the IHSAA state finals as an individual in 2023 and as part of the Lady Z team in 2024.
She tied for 26th among individuals at the 2023 state finals and tied for 20th at the 2024 state finals. She shot a 159 for 36 holes at both the 2023 and 2024 state finals at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
Valparaiso University is an NCAA Division I school and a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Jill McCoy is the head coach.
Valparaiso finished 12th out of 12 teams at last spring’s MVC Championship.
