Girls golf
Rochester 166, Kankakee Valley 202, Winamac 223, Twin Lakes 225: Olivia Bailey shot a 3-over par 40 to earn medalist honors and lead the Rochester girls golf team to a win in a four-way match over the back nine at Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello Monday.
Bailey’s round included a birdie on the par-4 17th hole.
Ava Thomas and Lexi Haughs each added a 41, Molly Moore had a 44, and Laynie Migonis had a 53.
Haughs set a new personal best for nine holes. Her round included a birdie on the par-4 10th.
Sierra Haschel led Winamac with a 50. Hunter Hines had
a 52, Mershai Loehmer had a 59, Kaelyn O’Connor had a 62, and Brea Conley had a 68.
All four of these teams are sectional rivals, and Tippecanoe Country Club is the sectional course. The sectional is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 23.
Despite winning the Three Rivers Conference title Monday, Rochester dropped from No. 16 to No. 17 in the final coaches poll of the season.
Rochester will finish its regular season with a home dual match against Tippecanoe Valley at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
