Bailey wins on senior night, but Northwestern tops Lady Zs

Northwestern 4, Rochester 1 (Wednesday): Olivia Bailey won at No. 1 singles on senior night, but the host Lady Zs fell to Northwestern at the RHS courts Wednesday.

Ellie Straeter and Emma Murphy both lost in straight sets at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.

J.J. Graber and Abriella St. Martin lost in straight sets at No. 1 doubles, and Shelby Pearson and Savannah Wolters lost in straight sets at No. 2 doubles.

Bailey is the team’s lone senior, and she won 6-2, 7-6 (0).

Rochester fell to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in the Three Rivers Conference. The draw is at 7 p.m. Sunday, and the sectional at Culver Academy begins May 20.

Northwestern also won the JV match 3-0.
