Bauman, Fajardo score twice as Argos stays unbeaten in Hoosier North

Argos 9, North Miami 0 (Saturday): Carter Bauman had two goals and an assist, and Yahir Fajardo also scored twice for Class 1A, No. 17 Argos as they blanked conference and sectional rival North Miami in Denver Saturday.
Jack Jones, Kenyan Beldon, Fabion Olivares, Ayden VanDerWeele and Sawyer Crace also scored goals.
Crace had two assists, and Kyle Penn, Aiden Samuels, VanDerWeele and Olivares added one assist each.
Argos had a 17-1 advantage in shoots on goal. Angelo McMillen stopped the only shot he faced for the shutout. Argos also had a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.
Argos led 4-0 at halftime.
Argos is 6-1-1 overall after extending their unbeaten streak to seven games. They are 4-0 in the Hoosier North. Their conference finale against winless Oregon-Davis is set for Sept. 29.
Argos moved up from No. 17 to No. 15 in this week’s Class 1A coaches poll.
