Pioneer 19, Frontier 9 (5 innings, April 24): Ava Beasy homered twice and doubled and drove in six runs, and Casey Webb homered as part of a two-hit, two-RBI day as the host Lady Panthers routed Frontier on April 24.
Emma Sells singled and tripled and drove in four runs. Kylie Attinger had three hits and two RBIs. Kamryn Newby had two hits and two RBIs.
Adelipe Cripe and Crystabelle Blickenstaff each had a double and an RBI. Tiara Denny, Jocelynn Vincent, Cailyn Colford and Shaylee Goings had one hit each.
Pioneer also walked four times and stole eight bases.
Goings earned the win in the circle, allowing 13 hits and eight runs (all earned) in four innings. She walked none and struck out three. Denny relieved and allowed two hits and one earned run with no walks and two strikeouts.
Pioneer trailed 2-0 after one inning before scoring three runs in the second. The lead ballooned to 16-3 after four innings before Frontier tallied six times in the top of the fifth. Pioneer ended the game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Pioneer 13, Winamac 12 (April 25): Adeline Cripe had three hits and four RBIs, and Kylie Attinger and Emma Sells also had three hits each as part of Pioneer’s 21-hit attack in a Hoosier North road win over Winamac at Winamac Town Park on April 25.
Tiara Denny, Kamryn Newby, Crystabelle Blickenstaff, Jocelynn Vincent, Casey Webb and Ava Beasy added two hits each. Attinger and Blickenstaff had two RBIs each. Denny, Newby and Vincent had one RBI each.
Shaylee Goings started in the circle for Pioneer but did not retire any of the four batters she faced. Denny relieved and pitched a complete game for the win and allowed 12 hits and eight runs (all earned). She walked three and struck out three.
McKenzie Hinz and Emma Goodman both homered for Winamac.
Pioneer trailed 5-2 after one inning but eventually took the lead for good with a five-run fifth that put them ahead 10-6. They added three more in the sixth to lead 13-6.
Winamac scored six runs in the seventh, but Pioneer held on for the win.
The teams would meet again in the sectional semifinals at Rochester on May 23, and Pioneer would prevail again 12-10.

Pioneer 11, North Judson 1 (6 innings, April 27): Crystabelle Blickenstaff doubled and homered and drove in two runs, and Emma Sells and Jocelynn Vincent each had three hits and an RBI for the Pioneer softball team in a road win over conference and sectional rival North Judson on April 27.
Vincent also stole four of Pioneer’s eight bases.
Ava Beasy had two hits and an RBI, and Kamryn Newby also had two hits.
Tiara Denny singled and drove in two runs at the plate and also pitched four scoreless innings in relief for the save.
Adeline Cripe and Casey Webb each had a hit and an RBI. Kylie Attinger also had a single.
Shaylee Goings pitched the first two innings and allowed three hits and one earned run. She walked one and fanned two. Denny allowed one hit and four walks while striking out seven.
Pioneer scored three runs in the top of the first and never trailed.
Already leading 4-1, Pioneer scored four more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Harrison (West Lafayette) 13, Pioneer 2 (5 innings, April 28): Crystabelle Blickenstaff singled and doubled and drove in both Pioneer runs in a road loss to Harrison (West Lafayette) on April 28.
Adeline Cripe and Kylie Attinger also had two hits as part of an eight-hit Pioneer attack. Emma Sells and Ava Beasy had one single each.
Tiara Denny took the loss in the circle. In 1 ⅔ innings, she allowed five hits and eight runs (five earned) while walking two, hitting a batter and striking out two. Cripe relieved and pitched 2 ⅓ innings and allowed five runs. She allowed four hits and walked two.
Harrison scored two runs in the first and six in the second to take an 8-0 lead.
Harrison would eventually advance to the Class 4A semistate before falling to eventual state champion Pennin the semistate semifinals.

Knox 9, Pioneer 8 (May 2): Adeline Cripe and Emma Sells had two hits and two RBIs each, and Kylie Attinger and Tiara Denny also had two hits each, but Pioneer suffered their first Hoosier North loss to host Knox on May 2.
Attinger, Kamryn Newby and Crystabelle Blickenstaff had one RBI each. Casey Webb also had a hit.
Denny pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and nine runs (eight earned). She walked four, hit two batters and struck out six.
Pioneer lost despite receiving seven walks and stealing six bases.
Pioneer trailed 5-1 at one point but came back to take an 8-7 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.

Pioneer 19, Culver 2 (5 innings, May 4): Jocelynn Vincent had three hits and three RBIs, and Ava Beasy doubled twice, singled and drove in a run for Pioneer in a Hoosier North home win over Culver at Herk Hoffman Field on May 4.
Kylie Attinger also had three hits for Pioneer, who scored in all four innings in which they batted.
Emilie Schmaltz doubled and drove in three runs, and Adeline Cripe and Emma Sells each had a single and two RBIs. Kamryn Newby had a hit and an RBI.
Crystabelle Blickenstaff, Jaylyn Layman and Casey Webb also had one hit each.
Cripe allowed one hit and one run over three innings for the win. She walked four and struck out two. Sells and Blickenstaff pitched one inning each in relief. Sells allowed one hit and one run while walking one and striking out three. Blickenstaff struck out two of the three batters she faced in a hitless inning.
Pioneer hitters walked 10 times, stole 16 bases and took advantage of 10 Culver errors which led to nine unearned runs.
Pioneer led 6-0 after two innings.
