Led by medalist Savana Miller’s 86, the Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team shot a 426 to win the Indiana Northern State Conference title at Pretty Lake Golf Club in Plymouth Saturday.
Miller beat John Glenn’s Morgan Wojtas by six strokes for medalist. No other player in the field broke 100.
All five Valley players finished in the top 10. Maris Overbey and Jenna Prater each shot a 113, Brystol Sands had a 114, and Gentry Bouse had a 122.
Miller and Overbey made the all-INSC team while Prater, Sands and Bouse earned honorable mention all-INSC status.
The INSC computes nine-hole dual match losses with performance in the conference tournament to determine a conference champion. Dual match losses are added to conference placing for a final team “score.” The team with the lowest score is the conference champion.
Valley was undefeated in conference duals, giving them a team score of 1.
