Beldon, Tonin combine for 7 goals, help Argos rout Valley

Argos 12, Tippecanoe Valley 1 (Tuesday): Kenyan Beldon scored four goals, and Artur Tonin added a hat trick and an assist for the Class 1A, No. 15 Dragons in a win over host Valley Tuesday.

Ioan Petz, Yahir Fajardo, Benji Garcia, Kyle Penn and Sawyer Crace also scored for Argos, who improved to 7-1-1. Valley dropped to 2-8-1.

Tonin, Petz and Zach Smith each had an assist.

Damian Garcia scored the lone Valley goal in the 10th minute, cutting the Argos lead to 2-1.

But Tonin, Fajardo and Beldon countered with goals over a five-minute span to make it 5-1, and Argos scored four goals to close out the half and lead 9-1.

Argos had a 26-1 advantage in shots on goal.
