Bernicky hits 2-run blast in Valley loss to Warsaw

Warsaw 14, Tippecanoe Valley 2 (5 innings, April 12): Markus Bernicky hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, but the Valley baseball team lost to the visiting Tigers on April 12.

Cameron Manuel also had a hit for Valley.

Valley struck out 14 times at the plate and also committed five errors in the field. The errors led to four unearned runs for Warsaw.

Manuel took the loss, allowing seven hits and nine runs in three innings. He walked four and struck out five. Cody Smith relieved and allowed five runs (three earned) in two innings.

Warsaw scored in all five innings in which they batted.
