Pioneer 49, Triton 29 (Dec. 17): Ashlynn Brooke scored 21 points, and the Pioneer girls

basketball team held Triton to two points in the first quarter in earning a Hoosier North road win on Dec. 17.

Paula Collado Fernandez added nine points, and Kylie Attinger had eight, all in the first quarter.

Brooke also scored eight points in the first quarter as Pioneer built a 16-2 lead. The Lady Panthers extended the lead to 30-12 at halftime.

Jocelynn Faulkner and Kinsey Atkins had nine points each for Triton (8-6, 0-4 Hoosier North) in the loss.

Pioneer (10-2, 4-1) has won the last five meetings against Triton.

Pioneer also won the JV game 34-20 behind Mia McKaig’s 22 points. Kynzie Hathaway had four, Casey Webb and Hannah Zeigler had three each, and Tiara Denny had two.
