Brooke, Attinger score in double figures, lead Pioneer to 5th straight win tourney title

Pioneer 59, Rossville 28 (Dec. 22): Ashlynn Brooke scored a game-high 24 points, and Kylie Attinger added 10, and the Pioneer defense held Rossville scoreless in the third quarter in the Indiana Kitchen Classic final at Delphi on Dec. 22.

Paula Collado Fernandez added nine points, and Makenna Strycker had eight.

Brooke outscored the entire Rossville team 22-18 through three quarters as Pioneer built a 22-point lead.

The win was Pioneer’s fifth in a seven-day span. Pioneer is 13-2 and ranked No. 13 in Class 2A, as of the Jan. 2 coaches poll.
