Girls basketball
Pioneer 70, West Central 33 (Friday): Ashlynn Brooke hit three 3-pointers in the first half and scored a game-high 23 points, and Crystabelle Blickenstaff added 14, and Paula Collado had 12 for the Pioneer girls basketball team in a road triumph over West Central Friday.
Playing their fourth game in seven days, Pioneer (18-3) jumped out to a 23-4 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 44-14 at halftime.
Blickenstaff and Collado scored eight points each in the first quarter. Brooke had eight, and reserve guard Makenna Strycker had seven in the second quarter.
Mara Sharpe led the Lady Trojans (4-15) with 10 points.
Pioneer beat West Central for the sixth straight year.
