Brooke breaks Pioneer record with 12 treys in win over Peru

Pioneer 81, Peru 35 (Thursday): Junior guard Ashlynn Brooke hit 12 3-pointers to break the Pioneer single-game record as the Class 2A, No. 12 Lady Panthers beat Peru Thursday.

Brooke finished with 43 points. Hailey Cripe added 21.

Brooke hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points in the second quarter alone as Pioneer (16-4) built up a 45-18 halftime lead.

She hit three more treys in the third quarter.

Brooke came into the week leading the state in scoring at 25.0 ppg. Her career high of 45 points came in a 77-73 win over Caston on Dec. 14.

Peru lost their ninth straight game and fell to 4-16.
